How TECH Separates Stains From Surfaces
Most cleaners attack the stain. TECH works differently — reaching the point where the stain meets the surface, loosening what holds it there, and lifting it away cleanly.
Most cleaners rely on force, not separation.
A stain doesn't sit on top of a surface. It binds to it. Traditional cleaners respond to that bond by attacking — and each approach comes with a cost.
Dissolve aggressively
Harsh solvents break the stain down chemically, but they can damage the fibers, the finish, or the color of the surface underneath.
Bleach the stain
Oxidizers strip the stain's color, not the stain itself. Rugs, grout, and fabrics often pay the price. Once the color is gone, it's gone.
Leave residue behind
Soap-based cleaners lift the visible stain but leave a sticky film that attracts dirt. The spot returns within weeks, a little larger each time.
That's why stains come back. It's not the stain — it's the approach.
Three steps. One principle.
We don't attack the surface. We work at the point where the stain meets it — and help the two come apart.
Penetration
A stain doesn't live on the surface of the fiber. It lives inside it — wrapped around the grain, wedged into the weave, bonded to the texture of the material.
Our formulas move into the fibers first. They reach the stain where it actually lives, not where it looks like it lives.
Bond Disruption
Once we've reached the stain, we loosen its attachment to the surface. Not by force. By chemistry — pH-neutral, silicone-free, calibrated to separate the stain from the material without damaging either one.
This is the step most cleaners skip. They try to pull the stain off before disrupting what holds it. That's why they either fail, or damage the surface trying.
Suspension & Removal
Once released, the stain is held in solution — suspended away from the fibers, no longer bonded to anything. From there, a clean cloth or rinse lifts it out completely.
Nothing is left behind. No residue to re-soil. No film to attract the next spot. The surface goes back to what it was before the stain arrived.
It doesn't fight the stain. It releases it.
Why separation beats force.
No residue, no re-soiling
Soap-based cleaners leave a film that attracts dirt. We don't. Clean surfaces stay clean longer.
No harsh chemistry, no damage
pH-neutral formulas don't strip finishes, bleach dyes, or weaken fibers. Safe across materials, safe around families.
Works across stain types
The same principle handles protein, tannin, oil, and water-soluble stains. One system, not a cabinet of specialists.
Removes the cause, not the appearance
The stain is gone because it's been lifted out — not hidden, not bleached. That's why it doesn't come back.
The same idea, applied everywhere cleaning matters.
Penetrate, disrupt the bond, suspend for removal. It's not just a carpet approach — it's how TECH thinks about every surface in your home.
Carpet & Upholstery
This is where the principle started. Our grandfather built the first TECH formula in 1975 because customers at his carpet store kept asking for something that worked without harsh chemistry. He delivered a product that could reach into wool, nylon, and polyester fibers, loosen the bond a stain had formed there, and lift it out cleanly.
Fifty years later, the approach is the same. A stain on a carpet isn't a surface problem — it's a fiber problem. Reach the fiber, disrupt the bond, suspend the stain, and a clean cloth does the rest.
The stain that lifts out cleanly is the stain that doesn't come back.Read the carpet stain removal guide →
Hard Surfaces
Stainless steel, tile, grout, glass, and sealed counters present the opposite challenge. The dirt sits on a non-porous surface, but the wrong cleaner damages the surface itself — pitting stainless, stripping grout sealer, etching stone, leaving silicone buildup on appliances that attracts fingerprints faster than the last application repelled them.
Our hard surface formulas are pH-neutral and silicone-free by design. They loosen whatever's on the surface without reacting with the surface underneath — so dirt, grease, and mineral deposits release and rinse away, and the material you're cleaning stays exactly the way it was when you installed it.

Household Odors
Odors aren't a surface problem — they're a molecule problem. A musty smell in a laundry room, a cooking odor that lingers, the lingering note of a pet accident long after the stain is gone. Those are airborne compounds, drifting through the space, attaching to anything porous.
Air fresheners cover them with a stronger smell. Our gel odor eliminators do something different. They absorb the odor molecules from the air into the gel itself — holding them, not releasing them, for up to 60 days of continuous action. Alcohol-free, pH-neutral, safe in enclosed spaces where families spend time.
We don't mask the odor. We remove what's causing it.Read the household odors guide →
One system, everywhere it works.
You don't need a different cleaner for every stain, every surface, every room. You need one approach that works the same way every time — because the principle behind it is sound.
